As readers, we need to be able to look at that is happening in the world around us so that we can make connections to what we are reading. Thinking about the world you live in, what connections can you make to your book.
starting new book
In my book the character was blaming him self that he killed his best friend.
but at the end Andy (the character) killed himself. so my connection to the world is many teenger drink and then drive without thinking about the consequence.
Mary - Your are so correct, too many teenagers do this. It is so sad and tragic. What is even more tragic though is that adults, who should know better, do the same thing and many lives are destroyed. Is Andy the best friend who died or the one blaming himself? What could you have done (and should do next time) to make it clear who is who and exactly what is going on? How do you know that many teenagers drink and drive and don't think of the consequences? Have you read or heard something?
